What key? Jamming is the key…to rapid improvement.

As children, we learned to communicate by verbally “jamming” with others. At Victor Wooten’s Center for Music and Nature, we believe that musically jamming with others is also the most natural way to improve one’s musicianship. Since speaking to others is a fundamental key to rapid linguistic improvement, Jam Camp’s primary objective is to help musicians develop better communication skills musically and otherwise.

Under the direction and guidance of Victor Wooten and his special guests, students will be given lots of time to jam and learn from each other. Focused classes will provide students tools and thought processes they can use to help raise all jams to a higher and more enjoyable level. With a less intense workload than most of our other programs, this fun-filled two-day camp will allow students the freedom to move around to any of the multiple jam sessions and play as much or as little as they want while getting an education that only Vix Camps can provide. The combination of structured and unstructured time is designed to help keep the students’ minds free, fresh, and inspired.

Yes! Victor will be jamming, too, but don’t be intimidated! Anyone and everyone can jam! Communicating musically in an enjoyable way will be our educational focus!

Instructors: Victor Wooten, The Wooten Brothers, and special guests.
